Endless Opportunities

“Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.”
Galatians 6:10

As you travel through life do you see opportunities and possibilities or do you focus instead upon the more negative scenery? If you’ve acquired the unfortunate habit of focusing too intently upon the negative aspects of life, then your spiritual vision is in need of correction.

Whether you realize it or not, opportunities are whirling around you like stars crossing the night sky: beautiful to observe, but too numerous to count. Yet you may be too concerned with the challenges of everyday living to notice those opportunities. That’s why you should slow down occasionally, catch your breath, and focus your thoughts on two things: the talents God has given you and the opportunities that He has placed before you. God is leading you in the direction of those opportunities. Your task is to watch carefully, to pray fervently, and to be faithful, obedient and available to the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Are you willing to place your future in the hands of a loving and all-knowing God? Do you trust in the ultimate goodness of His plan for your life? Will you face today’s’ challenges with optimism and hope? God created you for a very important purpose: His purpose! And you still have important work to do: His work! And the time to start doing that work in NOW!!!

Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, as I take the next step on my life’s journey, let me to take it with You. Whatever this day may bring, I praise and thank You for the opportunities that You have placed before me. Empower me to lean on You and trust in Your plan. Holy Spirit help me to be a faithful, obedient and available servant. I pray this in Jesus’ Name. Amen
