God Notices Even When Others Don't

And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones because he is my disciple, I tell you the truth, he will certainly not lose his reward."
Matthew 10:42

Two simple words, but oh how much they mean: 'Thank you!' Has it been a long time since you heard them? You do so much for others, now you just want a little appreciation in return. But there does not seem to be any coming.

Others may fail to thank you, but know this: your Heavenly Father appreciates all you do and all you are. And He has put you exactly where He needs you. You are fulfilling His purpose every day! Once you accept that, you will find joy and meaning in everything you do. He is the reason; others are just the beneficiaries!

Do not let someone else's response decide the level of your joy! They may not notice, but God does. He records and He rewards. Count on it! Listen: 'He will not forget how hard you have worked for Him and how you have shown your love..' (Hebrews 6:10).

If you feel unappreciated today, stop and read these words carefully. '...whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord...' (Colossians 3:17). That is it - do it for Him! Why not pray this prayer:

'Lord, all that I do today, I do for You. I know that You appreciate me; look at all the blessings You have given me. So I will praise and honor You throughout this day by my thoughts, my words and my actions. Amen.'
