Got Peace?

But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near through the blood of Christ. For he himself is our peace.
Ephesians 2:13-14

On many occasions, our outer struggles are simply manifestations of the inner conflicts that we feel when we stray from God’s path. What’s needed is a refresher course in God’s promise of peace. The beautiful words of John 14:27 remind us that Jesus offers peace, not as the world gives, but as He alone gives: “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid”.

As believers, our challenge is straightforward: we should welcome Christ’s peace into our hearts and then, as best we can with the help of the Holy Spirit, share His peace with our neighbors.

Today, as a gift to give to yourself, to your family, and to your friends, invite Christ to preside over every aspect of your life. It’s the best way to live and the surest way to experience the peace of God, which transcends all understanding.

Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, help me to accept the peace and blessings that You offer through Your Son Jesus Christ. You are the Giver of all good things and You give me peace when I draw close to You. Empower me to trust Your will, to follow Your teachings, and to accept Your peace as I continue on the spiritual journey that lays ahead of me. I pray this in Jesus’ Name. Amen
