A Call To Action

“Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show it by his good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom.”
James 3:13

The old saying is both familiar and true: actions speak louder than words. And as followers of Jesus Christ, we must understand: our actions should always give credence to the changes that Christ can make in the lives of those who walk with Him.

God calls upon each of us to act in accordance with His will and with respect for His Word. If we are to be faithful, obedient and available followers of Jesus Christ, we must realize that it is never enough simply to hear the instructions of God; we must also live by them. And it is never enough to wait idly by while others do God’s work here on earth; we, too, must act. Doing God’s work is a responsibility that each of us must bear, and when we do, God will do mighty things in and through us.

Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, I thank and praise You for the love You have shown me and the changes You have made in my life. I ask that You would help me to live according to Your Will and Word in all that I do. Empower me by Your Holy Spirit to follow in the footsteps of Your Son, and let others see Him through me. I pray this in Jesus’ Name. Amen
