Ask God

"So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.”
Luke 11:9-10

How often do you ask God for His help and His wisdom? Daily? Occasionally? Whenever you experience a crisis? Hopefully, you’ve acquired the habit of asking for God’s assistance early and often. And hopefully, you have learned to seek His guidance in every aspect of your life.

Jesus made it clear to His disciples: they should petition God to meet their needs. So should you. Genuine, heartfelt prayer produces powerful changes in you and in your world. When you lift your heart to God, you open yourself to a never-ending source of divine wisdom and infinite love.

The Bible promises that God will guide you if you let Him. Your job is to let Him. But sometimes, you will be tempted to do otherwise. Sometimes, you’ll be tempted to go along with the crowd; other times, you’ll be tempted to do things your way, not God’s way. When you sense those temptations, ask God to help you resist them.

God stands at the door and waits. When you knock, He opens. When you ask, He answers. Your task, of course, is to make God a full partner in every aspect of your life – and to seek His guidance prayerfully, confidently and often.

Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, You are the giver of all things good. When I am in need, help me to come to You in prayer. You know the desires of my heart, You know my true needs and You know my weaknesses. Empower me to seek your guidance prayerfully, confidently and often. I pray this in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Thank you for what you put into the Devotions, it's always just what I need for encouragement, and to remind me whose I am. Nothing is too hard for the Lord.
