In The Fire
....No weapon forged against you will prevail.
Isaiah 54:14
If you could talk with the three Hebrew children about their experience with the Lord in the fiery furnace, perhaps they would describe it this way:
'The fire was all over us. Our robes were ablaze, yet amazingly, our skin was untouched. We had no idea what was going on. Then something moved among the ashes; we were not alone. Suddenly, out of the smoke came a shining, gleaming person! We never got His name; He never said it. He never said anything. But just knowing He was there brought such comfort. His presence protected us in the midst of the crisis. Now, we do not mean to say that the fire went out, or that the heat was reduced. No, it still burned, but the brightness of the flames was eclipsed by the brightness of His presence.
'We never saw Him again; He showed up only when we needed Him. One thing is sure however, looking back, we are glad they dragged us from the presence of the wicked king into the presence of the Righteous One! In His company we learned that, "No weapon forged against you will prevail. You will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord."'
Are you walking through a fiery trial today? If so, you are not alone - God is with you! Take courage! When He brings you out you will know Him better, trust Him more, and have something to say that will make others want to listen.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, not that I am thankful for the “fires”, but I am thankful that you are there with me, protecting me! In Jesus’ Name, Amen

Thanks Paster Tim, once again this came as an answer to my prayer for a tough situation that I am going through.

Thank you Tim for sharing your inspired reflections that have facilitated my interest in the Word. I have given thanks for your very special gift for years to reach my heart, mind and spirit with the Word. Being a recovering alcoholic I have become grateful for the fires of addiction to penetrate the wall of denial I have lived with half my life. I have considered you to be one of my significant spiritual advisors because you were able to direct me to the answer I needed with the Word, time after time far beyond what could be considered a coincidence.
Merry Christmas and may He continue to with you always, Doug
PS: The "H." in Tim H. is an honorary distinction
