God Is Doing A New Thing

"Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland.”
Isaiah 43:18-19

God’s promise is to make a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland. God promises something new will spring forth from a place dried up by something old. He encourages you not dwell on your past but on the now and the new.

Unfortunately, there are times when our past makes it tough to focus on the present. For many individuals the memories of disappointments, disobedience, betrayal, or regret distracts them from the new things God wishes to do in their lives. God wants to transform those barren wastelands in your life by fresh streams of water. Will you allow God today to irrigate your life with His overflowing love and grace? Will you allow His mercy and compassion to splash new life over those parched, dried-up memories?

Today, God desires to plant and water new hope within you. For your eyes to be open to see where He is at work and the courage join Him in what He is doing. Today is a new day and God is doing a new thing!

Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, Help me to place at the foot of the cross those things that are holding me back from being the follower of Jesus Christ that you are calling me to be. Open my eyes to see the wonderful new things you are doing. You are making a way and You are inviting me to join you on a wonderful journey. Empower me to walk with you and share with others the mighty things you have done, are doing and of the things to come. I pray this in Jesus’ Name. Amen
