Chosen - Part 5
You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit - fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name.
John 15:16
Sometimes we focus so much on the struggle we forget that "goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life" (Psalm 23:6). We're familiar with Job's troubles, but we forget that they were just a short season in an otherwise blessed life. The pain Joseph experienced in prison was eclipsed by the years of influence he enjoyed in the palace. Are you having trouble enjoying your blessings because you're afraid they won't last? You're so accustomed to trouble that you're continually braced for it; like sitting in a comfy recliner but not being able to sit back and relax. It's time you stopped worrying and started resting! God hasn't brought you this far to abandon you. He has "appointed you [and it's an appointment that will be kept] to produce fruit that will last..." Lasting joy and success, that's God's plan for you! Listen: "The Son is sustaining all things by His powerful word" (Hebrews 1:3). God never speaks something over your life and then lets it fall apart. No, He said, "My word will [count on it] achieve the purpose for which I sent it" (Isaiah 55:11). In Genesis 1:14 God said, "Let there be lights in the heaven to divide the day from the night..." Guess what? That same sun shines today because of the Word that brought it into being - and it will shine again tomorrow. Now, if God will do that for an inanimate object like the sun, don't you think He'll take care of you too? Come on, start trusting Him!
Prayer
Heavenly Father, help me trust your Word and Your promises for my life. In Jesus' Name, Amen

Thank you, Tim. Have we told you lately what a blessing you are?
I also wanted to thank your staff for taking the time to showing us the Disaster Relief trailer at the LWML NID convention. God is so good! <

Unconditional love & acceptance are the two keys given by God for the chosen ones to proclaim His vision & mission. Hence we need to reach to the unreached.

Thank you for recording the daily devotions. I am alone, and when the devil attacks, it seems I can't get a hold of anyone in my life to help me through, or worry that I bother them. Of course I go to God, but I do not hear His voice; and that hurts me even more.
Today, I went back to a devotion from October 27, 2010 that helped me so the first time I read it. I needed the comfort I had felt that day again. I was surprised to see a section that said Listen. I thought. why not? I listened to it, again and again until I actually felt better. I know we are not to rely on feelings, however I do need the positive message that is being sent to me through your Ministry. It helps me to refocus.
Thank you so much for relief from my Satans attack. I know where I can go to find a friendly, caring and encouraging voice that tells me the Truth of who I really am in God's eyes.
May God bless you today and always. If I could be of assistance to you, please let me know.
