Fruitfulness!

"I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing."
Genesis 12:2

Just when we’re comfortable at a certain level of fruitfulness, God takes His shears and starts pruning some stuff we’d like to hold on to - and it hurts. The problem is, we settle for less than God wants, so He says, "The level of blessing you are on is fine, but it’s nothing like the level I want to take you to. Don’t get too comfortable with this, I’m taking you to that." The Bible says, "The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord" (Psalm 37:23). Don’t get stuck on one particular step; each is just designed to get you to the next level. Jesus said, "I chose you to bear fruit that will last" (John 15:16). Lasting success! Continuing impact! Parent, God didn’t give you children so you could lose them to the enemy. Paul said that the faith he saw in young Timothy, he first saw in his mother and his grandmother, both of whom were married to unbelievers. How did they do it? They stayed connected to the vine and thrived in spite of their hostile environment. You can too! Are you in business? God will bless your business so that you can carry out His business - the business of reaching a lost world. There’s no shortage, the resources just need to get into the hands of those God can trust. Why is fruitfulness so important? Because somebody who longs for fruitfulness in their life too, is watching! So pray: "Bless me Lord, so that I can be a blessing to others."

Prayer
Heavenly Father, help me always remember that I am blessed so that I can be a blessings to others and be Fruitful! Prune where there needs to be pruning and let your fruit grow. In Jesus’ Name, Amen
