How God Provides - Part 3

The manna stopped the day after they ate this food from the land; there was no longer any manna for the Israelites, but that year they ate of the produce of Canaan.
Joshua 5:12

Listen: "that very day, they ate the produce of the land: unleavened bread and roasted grain" (Joshua 5:11). How do you get bread and grain? Produce them! God was saying: "I can provide through men or deliver it from heaven, but now I'm planning to bless the work of your hands." Some of us fall apart when the manna ceases. "Lord, what's wrong? Nobody's helping me any more!" Nothing's wrong. It's time to grow up and start believing God to bless you so that you can become a blessing to others, instead of constantly asking Him to bless others so they can take care of you! It's time to discover your gifts and start making a difference. You don't need God or anybody else to do for you what you can do for yourself! You don't require a lot of talent in the wilderness, just faith for your next meal. In essence, God told His people, "When you enter this land, I want you to live in such a way that the rest of the world will sit up, take notice and start asking, 'What have they got that we haven't?'" Instead of us going to the world for advice, they should be coming to us for it! Jesus said, "You are the light of the world" (see Matthew 5:14). That means you should be the brightest student, employee, parent or leader around. God told His people, "All the nations will call you blessed" (Malachi 3:12). Who's He referring to? Those who unlock their talents put them to work and honor God in all they do!

Prayer
Heavenly Father, help me to work hard – knowing that you giving me the ability to work is your provision. I thank you for that, in Jesus' Name, Amen
