Day by Day

As long as it is day, we must do the work of him who sent me. Night is coming, when no one can work.
John 9:4

God’s purpose for your life unfolds day by day. Each new morning offers fresh opportunities to study God’s Word and seek His will. That’s why it is extremely important that you take time for a daily talk with God. No habit is more important to your spiritual health than the discipline of daily prayer and devotion with Your Heavenly Father.

The words of John 9:4 reminds us that “night is coming” for all of us. But until then, God gives us each day and fills it to the brim with possibilities. The day is presented to us fresh and clean at midnight, free of charge, but we must beware: Today is a non-renewable resource – once it’s gone, it’s gone forever. Our responsibility, of course, is to use this day in the service of God’s will.

Today, treasure the time that God has given you. And search for the hidden possibilities that God has placed along your path. This day, like every other day, is a priceless gift from your loving Heavenly Father, so use it joyfully and productively. And encourage others to do likewise. After all, night is coming when no one will work…

Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, You have given me another day of life; help me celebrate this day and use it according to Your plan. I praise You for my life and for the friends and family members who make it rich. Enable me to live each moment to the fullest as I give thanks for Your love, for Your Son and for the opportunities You have placed before me. I pray this in Jesus’ Name. Amen
