Serving God

The greatest among you will be your servant. For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.
Matthew 23:11-12

If you truly seek to discover God’s unfolding purpose for your life, you must ask yourself this question: "How does God want me to serve others?" Whatever your path, whatever your calling, you may be certain of this: service to others is an important part of God’s plan for your life. Christ was the ultimate servant, the Savior who gave His life for mankind. As His followers, we, too, must become humble servants through the work of the Holy Spirit.

Every single day of your life, including this one, God will give you opportunities to serve Him by serving His children. Welcome those opportunities with open arms. They are God’s gift to you, His way of allowing you to make a kingdom difference for eternity.

Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, Jesus humbled Himself and became a servant. Make me a humble servant and a worthy steward of the gifts and abilities You have blessed me with. I pray this in Jesus' Name, Amen
