USING THE POWER GOD HAS GIVEN YOU

I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. Luke 10:19

Are you easily intimidated? Do you suffer from a ‘no can do’ attitude? If so, there’s something you need to realize. God’s already given you power over your circumstances. You just need to start using it. Dr. Vincent Muli Wa Kituku writes: “In physics class in Kenya I learned that AC meant alternating current. So when I came to America and bought a car with a button marked AC, I was afraid to press it. In summer I’d sweat a lot and drive with the windows open, or use a handheld fan. One day a friend asked me why the air conditioner wasn’t on. I said, ‘I don’t have one’. She laughed, pushed the AC button - and my life changed forever. Relief had been at my fingertips all along! I wonder how many talents and gifts come and go from this world, locked up within people who never unpack them and use them?” What’s stopping you from pressing the buttons of spiritual development and growth? Loyalty to the past or to others? Fear of the unknown? Self-devaluation? Listen to these words: ‘‘I have given you [physical and mental strength] over all the power that the enemy [possesses] nothing shall harm you” (Luke10:19 Amp). God has already given you the power. You just need to activate it by faith. Once you recognize who you are in Christ, your outlook will change - so will your future! So come on, it’s time you started demonstrating a ‘power conscious’ attitude, and began walking in the promises of God that are already yours!

Heavenly Father, Help me to trust and rely on you and what you are able to do in, with, and through me if I would only get out of the way and let you. In Jesus, Name, Amen
