THE FOUR LAWS OF SUCCESS

In everything that he undertook in the service of God's temple and in obedience to the law and the commands, he sought his God and worked wholeheartedly. And so he prospered. 2 Chronicles 31:21

Here are four scriptural laws that guarantee success: (1) Determine the specific goal you want to reach. Then ask yourself, ‘How much am I willing to sacrifice to achieve it’? Your answer will determine your future. Establish your priorities, and then focus like a laser. Refuse to let anything or anybody sidetrack you. Listen: “What happens when we live God’s way? We find ourselves’ able to marshal and direct our energies wisely” (Galatians 5:22-23). (2) Chart a detailed course and establish deadlines. Plan your work and work your plan. List the things you need to do each day. Set regular checkpoints. Be accountable to someone. Organize your day - or everybody else will. The Bible says, ‘‘walk making the most of your time’’ (Ephesians 5:15-16). (3) See yourself attaining your goal. Start to think and act now like the person you expect to be then. Remember, God “calls those things which are not as though they were,” (Romans 4:17) so see yourself as a winner and start behaving like one. (4) Stay current. Don’t be a typewriter in the age of computers. Switch off your television before your brain turns to mush. Become a reader! Everything you need to know is in a book. Paul said to Timothy, ‘‘give attendance to reading’’ (1Timothy 4:13). The man who won’t read is more to be pitied than the man who can’t. Meditate constantly on God’s laws and you will succeed in whatever you do (See Joshua 1:8). Don’t just pay lip service to these principles - make them a life-style!

Prayer
Heavenly Father, help me to be ALL that you want me to be and have equipped me to be. Let me meditate on your ways and walk in your paths. In Jesus’ Name I pray, Amen
