A PRODUCTIVE LIFE

Carefully follow the terms of this covenant, so that you may prosper in everything you do. Deuteronomy 29:9

David wanted to build the Temple, but God had other things and people in mind. Often our desires differ from God’s, so we need to consult Him before we make a move. Usually, God will reveal His plan to you - one step at a time. If your desire for something persists, it’s a good indication that God’s leading you (see Philippians 2:13). Look for the signs. Listen for the Spirit. Prayerfully evaluate everything. Read His Word to make sure it is in line with what God has revealed. Cultivate an instant response to God. Reject all feedback that breeds doubt. Jesus gave more time to the woman at the well than He did to the Pharisees, because she was hungry and they were skeptical. Ask God for wisdom and then expect it! And don’t be so selective about who you’re willing to receive it from. After all, God once spoke through an ass and changed history! His Word says, ‘‘ask Him, and He will gladly tell you’’ (James 1:5). Wisdom is the ability to interpret things through God’s eyes. What an advantage! ‘How can I become wiser’? you ask. Listen: “The entrance of Thy words gives understanding’’ (Psalm 119:130). When God saves you, He renews your mind, because that’s the drawing board for your future. Mind management should be one of your top priorities. Listen: Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable - if anything is excellent or praiseworthy - think about such things. (Philippians 4:8). Don’t justify failure another day. Refuse to stay bogged down. Stop putting blame on others. Circle today’s date on your calendar and declare that the best days of your life are beginning - right now!

Heavenly Father, help me think noble thoughts that are pure and worthy of you and others. In Jesus’ Name, Amen

    In the devotion you mentioned God speaking through an ass, are you referring to Numbers 22? if not, can you give me the reference? discussion going on over this....thanks and keep up the great devotions, they are really very thought provoking....
