Moving On With God

Moving On With GodNow the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. Genesis 1:2
We serve a God who is always on the move. In Genesis we read, ‘In the beginning the Spirit of God moved’ (Genesis1:1-2). The question is, ‘Are you moving with Him?’ Scientists conducted an experiment in which they placed an amoeba in a stress-free environment. Conditions were ideal; it had no adjustments whatsoever to make. But it died. Why? Because we need change and challenge just like we need food and water. Comfort can kill us! God moves – if you’re going to move with Him this coming year, you’ll have to: (1) be willing to leave your comfort zone (2) abandon your pre-conceived ideas about how things ought be done (3) get ready for new challenges and new growth-markers on your journey. The disciples left everything to walk with somebody they didn’t even begin to comprehend. They had dreamed of a Messiah who would establish a kingdom and overthrow Rome, so His crucifixion blew their minds. So did His resurrection, because then they had to preach a message that would cost them their lives. When you decide to follow Jesus you give up the right to know: (a) where that ‘following’ will lead you (b) how much it’ll cost you (c) the extent to which it will change you. Sometimes the disciples didn’t know what to make of Jesus. When He walked on the water they said, ‘He’s a spirit.’ When He ate with them on the shore they said, ‘He’s a man.’ When you decide to follow Jesus – really follow Him – get ready to have your circuits blown and your faith stretched. In other words, get ready to move with God, and hold on to your shorts!
Prayer
Heavenly Father, I am ready to move with You and be where You are at. Allow me to join You in what it is that You are doing. In other words, help me be IN YOUR WILL and WORK. In Jesus’ Name I pray, Amen

This was conformation on what the Pastor of my church teached about in Sunday service.... I'm moved because he's using you and your ministry in a mighty, mighty way. I love being his son. I just wish that I can be more pleasing to him by being more obedient and not letting things upset me. I feel so good to know that I have a Father like no other...
God bless you and your family.
