Color-blindThere is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. Galatians 3:28
Spiritual advantage has nothing to do with the color of your skin and everything to do with the contents of your heart. 'But my ancestors came over on the Mayflower with the Pilgrims.' So what? 'There is neither... slave nor free... you are all one in Christ Jesus.' Being born with a silver spoon in your mouth doesn’t mean a thing to God. In His kingdom, social status doesn’t count. And He doesn’t consider gender either, because 'There is neither... male nor female... you are all one in Christ Jesus.' God won’t even discount you because of your moral background. Rahab was a harlot until she exercised faith in God’s Word. Once that happened, she never returned to her old profession. In fact, she’s even mentioned alongside Sarah, Abraham’s wife, because she believed and was blessed. Faith is the only thing that creates true equality. When you have it, you can walk with your head held high in spite of your past failures. It doesn’t matter what people say about you but what God says about you! Consequently, what you say about yourself is all that matters! Jesus healed a woman who was stooped over with severe spinal curvature for 18 years. When He saw her Jesus said, 'Woman you are free... and immediately she was able to stand up straight... ' (Luke 13:12-13). The moment you place your complete faith and trust in Christ, you too will find the power to stand up straight. Once that happens, your potential is unlimited!
Prayer
Heavenly Father, help me see people through Your eyes and not through my eyes of “color.” Help me see that because of You and Your Grace and Mercy I can be ALL You have made me to be – no matter what others may say. In Jesus’ Name I pray, Amen
