Promises For Troubled Times - Part 4"Praise be to the LORD, who has given rest to his people Israel just as he promised. Not one word has failed of all the good promises he gave through his servant Moses. 1 Kings 8:56
Today concludes my series on Promises for Troubled Times. I pray that they have given you comfort and hope:
- 'Because you have made the Lord, even the Most High, your dwelling place, no evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; for He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways' (Psalm 91:9-11)
- 'The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him, and He delivers them' (Psalm 34:7)
- 'I will take refuge in the shadow of Your wings until the disaster has passed' (Psalm 57:1)
- 'The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit' (Psalm 34:18)
- 'For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and His ears are attentive to their prayer, but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil' (1 Peter 3:12)
- 'He reached down from on high and took hold of me; He drew me out of deep waters. He rescued me from my powerful enemy, from my foes, who were too strong for me. He rescued me because He delighted in me' (Psalm 18:16-19)
- 'Do not gloat over me, my enemy! Though I have fallen, I will rise. Though I sit in darkness, the Lord will be my light' (Micah 7:8)
- 'You will have courage because you will have hope. You will be protected and will rest in safety. You will lie down unafraid and many will look to you for help' (Job 11:18-19).
Prayer
Heavenly Father – in a world that is broken, and that includes “promises” I find rest in your Word and your Promises that are true and eternal. Thank you for that. In Jesus’ Name, Amen
