STRUGGLING WITH LOW SELF-ESTEEM?It’s in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are living for. Ephesians 1:9
Until God tells you who you are, you’ll know neither your worth nor your purpose. And worse, others will be able to label and control you. That’s why Paul writes, 'It’s in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are living for...' Until you really know who you are, you’ll: (a) always worry about how you look (b) always worry about what others think of you (c) always worry about whether or not you’re going to fail. But when you believe in yourself, you’re free to focus on improving, and reaching your God-given potential. If you’re struggling with low self-esteem, here’s a prayer to help you:
Father, sometimes I think I’m of no use, that I can’t do anything right, that nothing I do is ever good enough. Then I remember that when You look at who I am and who I can be - you see Jesus! And He is good enough! It’s good enough that He shed His precious blood to cover my unworthiness. Good enough that He paid the price for every sin I’ll ever commit. Good enough that He’s perfecting me each day. Good enough that I am the righteousness of God in Christ. Good enough that He’s interceding for me right now. Good enough that He’s washed me clean and made me whole. Good enough that His love for me is everlasting and guaranteed. Thank you Father that everything Jesus does is good enough and that, in Him, I’m good enough too! Amen

Thank-you Tim for telling me what God knows I needed to hear. I sometimes feel like a failure. Your devotions start each day for me and most often are just what I need to keep me focused on Jesus.
