CONFIDENCE - PART 2

So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded.  Hebrews 10:35

Want to become more confident? Do these three things:
  1. Establish your worth according to God’s value system, not the worlds! God demonstrated your importance to Him in two great acts. First, He created you in His own image, which means you have ‘creative abilities’. Next, had you been the only person who ever lived, He’d still have sent His Son to redeem you. That makes you priceless! Those two unchanging truths should be the enduring basis of your self-worth
  2. Surround yourself with confidence-builders not confidence-busters. Confidence-busters give you ‘The Charlie Brown Complex”. One day Lucy put her hands on her hips and said, “You, Charlie Brown, are a foul-ball on the line-drive of life! You’re a 5th putt on the 18th green! You’re a dropped rod and reel in the lake of life! You’re a missed free throw, a shanked nine-iron, and a called 3rd strike! Have I made myself clear?' No wonder Charlie struggled! If you want to be confident, surround yourself with people who bring out the best in you.
  3. Quit comparing yourself with others. Comparisons only leave you feeling like the two cows reading the ad on the side of a passing milk truck: Pasteurized, Homogenized, Standardized - Vitamin A Added. One looked at the other and said, 'Makes you feel rather inadequate, doesn’t it?' You’re more than equal to the task. God has fully equipped you for your assignment. Discover your gift, develop it, then go out and use it for His glory.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, Help me have confidence that comes from knowing you and knowing you created me unique and that I am priceless in your sight.  Help me not be dragged down by others or the world.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen
