IT’S ALL IN THE PLAN
'... I want to go wherever you go’ Ruth 1:16
Ruth sensed that her destiny was tied to Naomi, so she said, '...I want to go wherever you go...live wherever you live...die where you die...' (Ruth 1:16-17 TLB ).You can spend your life anywhere with anybody doing anything, then suddenly get involved with a person or a project and sense that your destiny's tied to them. Without them your story's incomplete. It's what made Elisha leave home and run after Elijah, his spiritual father, to wash his clothes and set up his tent. It's what made Timothy hang out with an old man preparing to be executed. As he passed books and blankets through the prison window, Timothy was saying, 'There's something about you that touches me. I won't reach my potential without you in my life.' Charles West said, 'We turn to God for help when our foundations are shaking, only to learn that it is God who is shaking them.' Circumstances happen as they do for a reason. Remember, 'The steps [and the stops] of a good man are ordered by the Lord...' (Psalm 37:23). If you hadn't met that person, taken that phone call or read that letter, you wouldn't be where you are today. Right? God's always been behind the scenes like a puppet-master, pulling the strings. You're not where you are today just because you're so gifted, or smart, or holy. No, you're there because God wound you up, pointed you in the right direction, and released you to fulfill your destiny! It's all part of His plan.
